Music

I have always loved to sing. Over the years I have gotten more comfortable with singing and actually sounding good! This is not egotistical but a real accomplishment for me. For many decades I have self-sabotaged because I didn’t want to seem too much. I believe that many of us are conditioned to be less than we are. Today I’m wanting to be whatever I am, and know that I’m safe to be that.

Below are three songs that I sang not long ago.

Do you like to sing? Do you have a story about music? What are your hopes and dreams around music?

“You change the world by being yourself.”

— Yoko Ono

Singing “Windmills of Your Mind” by Michel Legrand and English lyrics written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman.

Singing “A Love that Will Last” written by David Foster and Linda Thompson

Singing “The Christmas Song” by Mel Torme and Bob Wells

Singing is one of the most fun things that I do. It’s where I think I can be my most authentic. A lot of the credit goes to my Singing Teacher for several years, Megan O’Brien of Iowa City, Iowa.
